The United Society of Boilermakers and Iron Ship Builders of New South Wales, formed c.1876, became in about 1918 the Federated Society of Boilermakers and Iron Ship Builders of Australia, and in 1937 the Boilermakers' Society of Australia. In 1966 it amalgamated to become the Boilermakers' and Blacksmiths' Society of Australia

Include minutes and correspondence of separate branches as well as pictorial material

Deposited on long term loan by the State President, Amalgamated Engineering Union, 1972. Subsequently presented to the Library by the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union, November 2017.
