    Hunter Gibson, a clerk of Bundarra, New South Wales enlisted 17 Aug. 1914 and embarked from Sydney on board Transport A14 Euripides, 20 Oct. 1914. he served with the 4th Battalion, 1st Division A.I.F., later being transferred to 1st Australian Light Trench Mortar Battery. He trained in Egypt and landed at Gallipoli in Apr. 1915 where he was wounded and sent back to Egypt. He returned to Gallipoli and in Aug. 1915 was invalided back to Egypt, and later served in France and returned to Australia in Dec. 1918
