  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Hector McLean, an accountant of Chatswood, New South Wales, enlisted at Liverpool aged 20, 2 Nov. 1915 and embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A8 Argyllshire, 11 May 1916. He was a private in the 9th Australian Field Ambulance and served as a stretcher-bearer and orderly in France and Belgium. He returned to Australia on the Chemnitz 8 Sept. 1919
