ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

William Frankfort Middleton, a miner of Cootamundra, New South Wales, was born in Penshurst, Victoria. He enlisted at Liverpool aged 32 on 14 May, 1915, embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A67 Orsova, 14 July 1915 and served in Gallipolli, Sept. 1915, and in France and Belgium with the 3rd Battalion. He returned to Australia 12 May 1919 on the Soudan
