  There is evidence that this book was produced in the workshop of Alexander Bening, an illuminator who was active in Ghent from 1469 to 1519.
• Scope and Content
  Text: Latin. Includes: calendar (half of January, March and May and all of April are missing); Salve sancta facies; Mass of the Virgin; Hours of the Virgin; penitential psalms; litany; Vigils of the Dead; Obsecro te; O intemerata; psalter of St Jerome; canticles of St Athanasius and other devotions.
  Decoration: includes five miniatures framed by full borders of flowers, insects and birds matching those on opposite pages; one historiated initial set within a border of similar design. The miniatures are Christ with orb, Virgin and Child, Annunciation, Pentecost and David at prayer.
