  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    These photographs were presented by a member of the Lenehan family. Cabinetmaker, Andrew Lenehan (1815-1886), occupied the stone villa Potsdam (later renamed Windermere) in Ernest Street, Hunters Hill, from 1867 to 1882. The house was originally built by the Joubert brothers between 1855-1860. Lenehan's eldest son, Henry Alfred Lenehan (1843-1908), was government astronomer at the Sydney Observatory.
