    1 painting - oil on canvas - 24.5 x 32 cm (sight) in frame 38.5 x 45.5 cm.
  • Scope and Content
    Standing at the head of Lavender Bay and looking back into Sydney - was a well established view for colonial artists as it took in the expanse of Sydney Cove from Woolloomooloo at the left to Darling Harbour at the right. In the foreground on McMahon's Point can be seen Brenchley, the residence of H. H. Browne who was the Registrar at the Court of Requests, and a leading Sydney citizen.
