    Mary Anne Scott was the daughter of Helenus Scott and Sarah Anne, nee Rusden. She was a younger sister of Rose Scott, feminist, and was known to her family as 'Millie'. In 1880 she married Canon Bowyer Shaw.
    Mary Anne Scott was a cousin of Harriet and Helena Scott, noted artists and naturalists, daughters of Alexander Walker Scott, entemologist, and Harriet, nee Calcott.

    Date unknown; 'The Laughing Jackass', being Ms. notes on the Kookaburra, possibly written by Helena or Harriet Scott, cousins of Mary Anne Shaw

    Papers were accompanied by pictorial material now located at PXA 543. The papers and pictorial material were originally included in a folio of drawings by Harriet and Helena Scott, which had been in the possession of their cousin Mary Anne Shaw, nee Scott.
