    Title devised by cataloguer, 1961

    The drawings (except perhaps no. 10) originally formed part of two albums of paintings and drawings which were in the possession of Felipe Bauza who was in charge of the work done by the various artists attached to the expedition -- letter dated 26/9/1960 on ML file
    Spanish titles are inscribed in ink at the bottom of each drawing. The number in brackets refers to the number stamped at the top right hand corner of the drawing.

    A microfilm of nos.1-6, 8-9, 11-12, and of other drawings and maps of the expedition made 1955 while the two volumes were on loan to the Museo Naval, Madrid is at FM4/454 (negative) & FM4/212 (positive). Photoprints filed at PXB 1620 (v.2).
