    Maurice Henry Saxby was born 1900 in the Waterloo district, the son of Joseph and Effie T. In 1922 he married Nettie Thompson. They had three sons and a daughter. 9 March 1953 he became the Superintendent of Aborigines Welfare. He died in Wollstonecraft in 1988. His career in the NSW Public Service is given in Dawn magazine, March 1953
