    "Weird and wonderful Sydney" caption: "This young man could not believe his luck and the photographer couldn't keep his camera steady, when Sabrina danced The Twist at the Peppermint Lounge. The medical profession said it would cause "dislocated joints, slipped discs, sacroiliac damage and muscle sprains". The only muscle sprain here was ocular"

    "... [Chubby] Checker toured Australia in early 1962 and pretty soon Sydney had its own Peppermint Lounge, run by Lee Gordon.

    In January 1962, the English celebrity, Sabrina (Norma Ann Sykes), took the dance floor in Sydney. No one’s looking at the band in this photo but I think it might be Johnny Devlin’s Twisters."
